Sales Representative:
Position Summary and Primary Objective
The Sales Representative is the public image of Matrix Media Partners and its offerings. And as such, must maintain a professional look, attitude, and performance at all times.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Generation of new customers by direct outside sales, including cold-calling, industry contacts, and networking with area decision makers.
Proposal creation (first draft) based on customer meetings, including bill of materials creation and review with Engineering.
Customer Presentation and contract signature.
Visiting existing customers to extract future business.
Administrative duties to include: Weekly Forecasts, Project Status Meetings, Collections.
Travel should be expected to respond to customer needs on a local basis.
Education/Qualification Required
High School Diploma or Equivalency, Bachelors preferred but not required
Experience
Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years prior inside sales experience or 1 year prior outside sales experience
Skills and Characteristics Desired
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and financial analysis skills.
Candidate must have ability to identify and close new sales opportunities and customers by making cold-calls and manage and grow more complex and/or larger accounts within the assigned territory.
Candidate must be the problem solver to resolve customer, manufacturer and internal issues to increase revenue.
Candidate should have above-average composition skills for creating customer proposals.
Candidate should have strong PC skills including a working knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) for creating proposal documents from templates provided.
